The Crucifixion and Forgiveness
In the midst of extreme suffering, Jesus displayed the greatest love by asking for forgiveness for His executioners. His sacrifice on the cross gives us access to forgiveness and reconciliation with God.
Just as Jesus forgave those who harmed Him, He also calls us to forgive others. Holding on to resentment only binds us, but forgiveness frees us and reflects Christ’s character in us.
🔹 Application Questions:
- Is there someone you need to forgive as Christ has forgiven you?
- How can you reflect Jesus' love to those who have hurt you?
