The Cleansing of the Temple
Jesus demonstrated His zeal for holiness when He drove out the merchants from the temple. This act reveals His desire for worship to be pure and focused on communion with God. Today, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and God desires to dwell in a heart that is clean and devoted to Him.
Just as Jesus cleansed the temple in Jerusalem, we must allow Him to purify our lives from anything that separates us from His presence. Sometimes, we tolerate attitudes, habits, or thoughts that contaminate our hearts. Jesus wants to renew us and make us a holy temple for His glory.
🔹 Application Questions:
- What areas of your life need to be cleansed so that God can fully dwell in you?
- How can you prioritize prayer and communion with God in your daily life?
