Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest MomentsSample

Who are you looking for?
Think:
In John 18:1-3, Jesus enters the garden, knowing what’s about to happen. Judas, one of His disciples, arrives with a detachment of soldiers to betray Him. It’s a dark moment—someone who walked with Jesus is now part of the plan to arrest Him. Have you ever felt betrayed by someone you trusted? Jesus experienced betrayal, but He didn’t let it control His response. He was focused on His mission.
Live:
Think about times when you’ve been let down by others, or perhaps even when you’ve let someone down. Today, ask God to help you trust Him, even when people disappoint you. Pray for the strength to forgive, just as Jesus would later show forgiveness on the cross.
Pray:
Jesus, I ask for the grace to seek You above all else and to follow You with trust and surrender. Amen.

About this Plan

During this Lent journey, we will spend 40 days with the questions that Jesus asked in the last days of his life. You are invited to honestly grieve and explore His suffering experience with Jesus, in His fragility, His openness and His courage. You will be guided with four action words to help you on this Lent journey. You are invited to Read, Think, Live and Pray as we explore the real talk of Jesus during his hardest & darkest moments. You are invited to reflect on the content and your experiences at the end of each week.
