Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest MomentsSample

Think:
Peter, in a moment of fear and panic, pulled out a sword and tried to defend Jesus by cutting off the ear of the high priest’s servant. Jesus, however, rebuked Peter and healed the man’s ear. Jesus didn’t need Peter to fight for Him; He was willing to face His arrest without resistance. Peter’s impulsive actions remind us that our first reaction to fear is often not the right one.
Live:
Consider how you react in moments of fear or uncertainty. Do you try to take control yourself, or do you trust God’s timing and plan? Reflect today on the areas where you need to surrender to God, letting go of your own solutions and allowing Him to guide you.
Pray:
Jesus, I ask for the grace to seek You above all else and to follow You with trust and surrender.

About this Plan

During this Lent journey, we will spend 40 days with the questions that Jesus asked in the last days of his life. You are invited to honestly grieve and explore His suffering experience with Jesus, in His fragility, His openness and His courage. You will be guided with four action words to help you on this Lent journey. You are invited to Read, Think, Live and Pray as we explore the real talk of Jesus during his hardest & darkest moments. You are invited to reflect on the content and your experiences at the end of each week.
