Mark 12:10-11 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
In today's text, we read how Jesus tells the Parable of the Vineyard to the religious leaders present. He highlights the servants who were rejected and ultimately points to the rejection and death of the son of the landowner. Jesus is making it clear that He is the cornerstone and references Psalm 118:22-23 to illustrate this vital truth.
A cornerstone is the first stone laid in a building and serves as the foundation upon which all other stones are set.
