Journey With Jesus 365Sample

Jesus had just finished feeding the multitude and instead of savoring this wonderful miracle, Jesus went away to pray. If there was ever a time to sit back and admire what had just taken place, this would have been the time. Instead, Jesus went away to pray and prepare for what God had for Him next. It is tempting to relax after a spiritual victory. Be aware, that a crisis can come up at any time, which happened shortly after the feeding of the multitude. Jesus was prepared to meet this crisis, but the disciples were not.
We must guard our high points in life. The mountain-top experiences in life are when we experience God mightily, but often make us vulnerable. Take time to pray after great victories. This way when trials come your way, you are walking closely with the Lord.
