Journey With Jesus 365Sample

“Whose fault was it?”
This was the question the disciples asked Jesus when they came across a blind man. Surely someone must have sinned in order for this man to have been born blind. But Jesus stopped them from blaming others and told them that it was not anyone’s fault, “but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”
Jesus clearly stated that this man’s blindness was to bring God glory, by pointing people to Him. And this is exactly what the man did. The Pharisees confronted him about Jesus’ healing on the Sabbath. The blind man quickly reminded them that only someone who came from God could do the miracles that Jesus did. The Pharisees threw the man out of the temple because he dared to say Jesus might be God. The man later believed in Jesus.
When difficult times come in our lives, we are often quick to blame everyone for the problem: other people, ourselves, and even God. We only focus on what is happening right in front of us instead of what God is trying to accomplish in our lives.
What is your reaction to problems that arise in your life? How can something that you are facing right now, bring glory to God?
