A Year in Luke/ActsSample

NT Wright has a good summary of what this passage shows us today:
“One of our problems today, I think, is that though Christians officially affirm God as Creator, in the first article of the creed, we tend to play it down. We often focus instead on salvation… though, if that then means being rescued from the world of creation, as many today seem to think, we are back with the second-century Gnostics, who elevated their own secret ‘knowledge’ above the truths of creation and new creation.” (p80, The Challenge of Acts).
The gospel is not secret knowledge but good news to announce to all who will listen that Jesus is the resurrected King of the world. What does it mean for us to affirm God as Creator in a way that speaks of creation and new creation?
