Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well (Psalm 139:14).
Do you focus on self-image or being made in God’s image?
The reading of Psalm 139 should cause the worshiper to stand in awe of God. He is omniscient (Psalm 139:1-6). Our heavenly Father knows everything past, present, and future. “For there is not a word on my tongue,” writes the poet, “But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether” (Psalm 139:4). He even knows every word that we speak or will ever utter. Moreover, He is omnipotent (Psalm 139:13-18). By God’s mighty power, we were woven together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He put and developed our bones within her womb (Psalm 139:15). No wonder the psalmist exclaims: “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
Employment Point: Focus upon the God who formed you in the womb for His glory.
