Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes (Psalm 101:3).
How are you safeguarding your mind?
David walks with integrity and surrounds himself with people who practice the same. He says, “I will behave wisely in a perfect way” (Psalm 101:2). He determines to live skillfully on a road of integrity, which is the literal meaning of “in a perfect way." Furthermore, he declares, “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes” (Psalm 101:3). The term “wicked” means worthless. When my three sons lived under our roof, my wife and I printed out and placed the following on top of every television and computer screen: “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes." Our family strived to please God by only viewing those things that pleased Him; we didn’t squander our time. Purpose to protect your mind by printing out and placing Psalm 101:3 above all your viewing devices.
Employment Point: Guard your mind by only viewing those things that please the Lord.
