Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

Today, if you will hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion (Psalm 95:7-8).
Have you entered into God’s rest?
“For the LORD is the great God,” writes the psalmist, “and the great King above all gods” (Psalm 95:3). We are to “worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God” (Psalm 95:6-7). The author of Hebrews exhorts the Jews to whom he’s writing (called “brethren” in Hebrews 3:12) not to turn away from Jesus, as the Israelites did to God after witnessing His power in the wilderness. That generation could not enter into the rest of the land of Canaan because of their disobedience. Likewise, we can know that Jesus is eternally God and still not believe in His finished work to be saved. Sadly, Moses’ generation “could not enter in because of unbelief” (Hebrews 3:19).
Employment Point: Don’t turn away from Jesus, who alone can save your soul.
