King & KingdomsSample

Here in Isaiah, we see a prophecy that was fulfilled by Jesus in John 10. All through the Old Testament, God promises that He will one day protect and gather His flock. Of course, this image would have made perfect sense to the Israelites who did a lot of shepherding! God speaks to us in a way that we understand. In verse 11, we see the shepherd heart of Christ: a heart to gather His lambs in His arms and to carry them and gently lead them. That is talking about us! Notice and deeply meditate on how deeply Jesus loves you and wants to lead you. Why would we EVER follow anyone else when our Shepherd has this kind of love for us?
Think it Over: Who in your life needs to know the love of Christ? How can you know His love more deeply?
