King & KingdomsSample

If you could ask for anything, what would it be? This is where we find Solomon in this story. The Lord has given him the ability to ask for anything, and what is it that Solomon asks for? Wisdom and discernment, things that can only be found in the Lord. What striking evidence that all Solomon really wanted was God. Here he showed that all the things that this world could offer were worthless to him compared to the wisdom of the Lord. Could you say this same thing about your own life?
Think it Over: What are those things that you might desire more than the Lord, if he were to ask you this same question? Bring those things before him today, and ask him to help you fix your eyes on him and him alone.
