King & KingdomsSample

Have you ever had someone leave you because things got hard? That hurts!
The truth is, in the tough moments, it could seem easier to leave than stay. That's why it's so incredible that Jesus doesn't leave, even when it gets hard. Think about what Jesus says in John 10, "I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So, when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep...I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me...and I lay down my life for the sheep".
We can find deep rest in knowing that God will never leave us, even in our hardest moments we can count on Him. He provides for our every need. He is our shepherd who lays down his life for us.
Think it Over: What does it take to be a person who stays through the hard stuff?
