Now we see God give Moses an answer: God would give some of His Spirit and put it on seventy others in Israel that would help bear the burden of leadership. This is not only an example of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, but it is also a reminder of God's willingness to use his power to help His people with all they are going through. Moses showed reliance on God's Spirit by going to God first in his struggles of leading, and God met him there and answered his request.
Think it Over: If you could ask God to help in one area you feel burdened, where would it be and what would you ask?
