When we read a passage of the Bible, one of the best questions we can ask is: why did God include it? God intentionally and purposefully inspired the writing of scripture; every verse has a purpose.
The Bible starts to unfold for us when we begin to seek out God's purpose for each verse's inclusion. Think about Genesis 1: God intended you to read the Creation story. What does it say about the Creator? What does it say about the creation? Those are questions that start to unlock the Bible.
