The Baptism of Jesus
Listen to "The Baptism of Jesus":
Reflect
John exhorted people to show their love for God by living in generosity and truthfulness. If we’re filled with God’s Spirit, our hearts will overflow with gratitude and love for others. Our faith and actions will attract others to God’s kingdom. John said that you should “show by your actions that you’ve turned from your sins and turned to God.” That brings much pleasure to the Father.
After Jesus’ baptism, God announced His pleasure with His beloved Son. What did Jesus do to earn God’s favor? He hadn’t started His ministry yet, but God took pleasure in Jesus simply because He was His Son. And He takes pleasure in you too, just because you are His child.
● What are some ways you can show by your actions that you are the Father’s child?
● Spend some time reveling in the simple fact that God loves you just because you’re His child and not because of anything you’ve done.

About this Plan

Experience a different way of interacting with God’s Word. Deepen your intimacy with God by listening to an oral Bible story each day.
