REFLECT + FOCUS

When God appeared to Moses in the burning bush, He told him to come “barefoot”—He required Moses to relinquish all rights when He called him. (Exodus 3:5)

Jesus also challenged those who wanted to follow Him to surrender every desire—legitimate and illegitimate—fully to Him, on the altar of obedience. (Luke 9:57-62)

Desires for financial security, career, future—longings for comfort, relationships, family, sexual fulfillment.

As difficult as it sounds, this is the only path of true joy, satisfaction, and fulfillment—to die to self, to surrender all rights we have to Christ, and trust him with full control in every area.

Sexual desire is one of the most powerful driving motivations humans experience – especially for men. Submitted to God it can be a source of incredible joy, bonding, life in marriage; outside of God’s plan and guidance, it can bring destruction and a life-time of pain and suffering.

Are there areas in your life that you are still trying to hold control of?

Sexual fulfillment, comfort, money, career, health, future?

As we come today, fully surrendering rights, desires, and longings—ask Him for a revelation of His goodness—He is committed to Your eternal joy, more than you are!

Talk to him as you memorise the shout, meditate on the Discovery Bible passage - and ask Him to help you fully surrender and fully trust Him.
