REFLECT + FOCUS

Jesus came announcing the simple words:

“The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15 NIV

Simply put, turn around, leave your life of thoughts, words, actions, and attitudes that do not honor God, and instead, follow Jesus. As you do, you will begin to experience more and more of His Kingdom right here on earth, growing and increasing to its full expression in eternity

Now that is the gospel - the good news of the Kingdom that Jesus preached, and commissioned us to share too; not just with words, but with concrete actions of obedience and faith, just as He showed us.

However, many believers compromise this simple mandate and commission through fear, doubt, disobedience, laziness, and distractions - as well as sinful life choices that keep them bound.

Time to get clean!

It’s good to create a regular habit of repentance. Pray through Psalm 139:23-24 slowly, and as God brings to memory things we need to confess, offer each one to Him in humility, thanking Him for His forgiveness, cleansing, and asking Him to lead you in His eternal paths.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” 139:23-24 NIV

To journey into His Kingdom, it must begin with repentance - turning away from sin and turning towards Christ.

SHOUT

As you memorise today's shout, and discover His heart through His word, offer your heart again; if God shows you anything you need to repent of, simply speak it out, confess it, and receive His forgiveness and cleansing.

Search me God, know my heart;
