FREEDOM40 - 40-Day Men’s Challenge to Live in FreedomSample

DAY 12
REFLECT + FOCUS
Does a plant ever get frustrated, trying to produce fruit?
Of course not! It just remains in the soil, and with the right environment - sunshine and water - it will produce fruit.
Jesus promised in John 15:1-8, that if we simply “remain in Him” we will bear fruit.
Listen to these words of Jesus:
Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. John 15:4 CSB
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. John 15:7 CSB
Producing fruit and answers to prayer have this condition: that we remain in Jesus and His words.
Remain is a passive word - it just means to stay in one place!
But with all the distractions that are trying to pull us away from Him, it takes great effort and focus to remain in that place of His presence.
SHOUT
As you do TWA and memorise today's shout, ask God how to remain in Him.
Remain in me, I will remain in you.
And you will bear much fruit. John 15, verse 4.
DISCOVERY BIBLE
John 15:1-8
As you continue to discover God through His word, ask him if there are are distractions that need to be removed from your life so you can focus on Him.
Take notes and share some thoughts with your brothers, as you pray for one another.
