Do you ever wonder why an all-powerful God bothers to work his plan through people like you? Hardly seems effective. Definitely not necessary. Especially if you're talking about the audacity of "saving" someone - surely that's Jesus' department alone.
While it certainly is the Savior’s ability that is required, it’s unmistakably your responsibility that’s requested and your availability that’s expected. Whatever his reasons are, God will keep working through people like you; so it might as well be you.
Today you'll encounter a vision of God's inaugurating inquiry of Isaiah in a moment at the throne. Place yourself in the same moment. Notice his volunteerism. Notice yours. Sift out with Jesus and yourself in your vision: "Am I volunteering to be a Disciple-Maker?"
