Proverbs 10:8

“A wise heart takes orders; an empty head will come unglued.”

PRINCIPLE:

God speaks through leadership—not around it.

One of the greatest principles that can be discovered is the protocol of authority. It is a hallmark of FivestarMan, and the foundation for understanding proper leadership called the Centurion Principle.

In Matthew 8:5, a Centurion approaches Jesus, requesting, “My servant lies at home, suffering terribly.” Jesus offers to go to the home and heal the servant. The Centurion’s reply causes Jesus to marvel at his demonstration of faith; he says, “I have not found anyone in Israel that understands faith like this man.”

The Centurion’s secret, “For I also am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, come, and he comes; and to my slave, do this, and he does it.”

The Centurion knew how to receive orders and pass those orders to others. That is the protocol of authority. The wise take orders.
