Proverbs 13:4
“The sluggard’s appetite craves and gets nothing, but the appetite of the diligent is abundantly supplied.”
PRINCIPLE:
God gave man the gift of seed to satisfy his cravings.
Before God created man, He prepared a place of residence for the Man. It was built upon an agrarian system of supply: seed, time, and harvest. It was a place of abundance. However, God did not release the system until he created man so that the place could be worked. That was the man’s vocation, to work the Garden. He was to sow seeds, harvest them and scatter them upon the entire earth. Unlimited seed leads to an abundant harvest.
After God pronounced the blessing upon man, He presented him with the gift of seed.
God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” (Genesis 1:29)
With seed, man has an exceptional ability to satisfy his cravings. Do you see that? With the seed, the man can sow a seed for a determined harvest.
We still operate by this principle. We can sow a seed for a determined harvest. However, if we’re lazy and unwilling to work, we will have constant cravings without satisfaction.
REMEMBER:
The man who understands this principle will have an abundant supply.
