No Half Measures Ruth, despite losing almost everything, made a choice to follow the God of Israel with all her heart. Ruth was from Moab, a nation with whom Israel was forbidden to make peace. The Moabites continued to plague Israel by their false gods, who required infant sacrifices, besides other sacrifices. They had also hired Balaam, a sorcerer, to curse Israel. But the God of Israel honored Ruth by restoring everything she lost and more, although she was from Moab…all because of the choice she made. Today, her name appears in the lineage of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Our God doesn’t believe in half measures. He didn’t even spare His own Son in order for us to have abundant life. He gave it all to redeem us from our sins. Our ancestry does not matter to God. All that matters to Him is that we choose to turn to Him with all our hearts. The word ‘compromise’ doesn’t exist in God’s dictionary. It shouldn’t exist in our lives too. Let us ‘live out loud’ for Him! Compromises can creep into our lives, especially during crises. God doesn’t promise us a life without trials, but He does promise us eternal triumph, only if we choose to cling onto Him. The trials of this life can be very severe and life may just seem very unreasonable. But beloved, nothing compares to the promise we have in Him! It should be our conscious decision to follow God ‘no matter what 'and we will see God standing for us. Declaration I choose to hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. I am more than a conqueror in Christ through His love.
