He Will Never Let Me Down What a mighty God we have! Always there for us! To save, defend and provide for us. His greatness and His hand upon our lives is summed up in the above comforting and reassuring verses. The psalmist, King David went through many ups and downs in his life. When all was well, he gave God the highest praise. When he was down, with his back to the wall, he cried out to God and declared God’s loving, merciful and protective nature. Picture a shepherd boy from Israel standing up to the world’s strongest giant, who insulted and hurled abuses at all of Israel for many days. While all of Israel feared this giant, David, through faith and trusting God, hurled a stone with all his might at the giant’s head, which brought the giant crashing down. Against all odds, the little shepherd boy won the challenge. The Bible says, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). David’s trust was in God alone and no other. God wants to be your sole source of protection and provision so that all the glory comes to Him alone. Are you in a hopeless situation today? Is your back to the wall with your enemies about to get the better of you? Are you heavily in debt? Remember, God alone, can help you. For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). God responds when the name of His Son Jesus is called out. Prayer Heavenly Father, I believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the only way, the truth and the life. I believe You will answer my prayer when I call upon Your name, which is above every other name. Amen.
