What God Says, He Does! He is a man of his word’ is a good compliment to hear. You can really trust someone who is known for keeping his word. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35 NIV). God always keeps His Word and will never go against it. We should always check what people preach or say with what God says in His Word, the Bible. God spoke through the prophet Ezekiel about His own people, the Jews, who were scattered all over the world. Despised and with no place of their own, they often rebelled against God, who continued to love them dearly. God said that a day would come when He would bring them from different places to a land they would call ‘home.’ This prophesy was fulfilled when Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948. After Hitler killed six million Jews during World War 2, they were a battered lot, weary and hated by many nations. However, what God said came to pass. Many Jews came from all over, to a nation they could proudly call their homeland. God also said that He would work on His people and clean them up, change their hearts, cause them to walk in His ways and He would be their God and they would be His people. What God said and did for His people, He promises to do for all those who accept His Son Jesus and crown Him Lord of their lives. Call on the Lord Jesus now, start exploring His Word, the Bible, and check out what exciting promises He has for your life. Claim them because you can trust this ‘person’ who keeps His Word. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus and Your Word, the Bible. I rejoice because I now trust You and Your Word which You will keep. I make this prayer in Your Son, Jesus’ name. Amen.
