You can Always Count on Jesus We live in a world of change. People and things are constantly changing. However, though we are surrounded by an ever-changing environment, God never changes. We can’t talk of what God ‘has been’ or what God ‘will be’ because ‘He is’. To say that God is unchanging is to say that He never differs. His promises will not change, His purposes will not change, His provisions will not change, His personality will not change and His Word will not change. Jesus was with the saints of old, as seen in the Old Testament. Jesus is with you today, because He said He would be with you always. Jesus will be with you in the future. He is always interceding for you. Never will you have to worry about God failing, about God changing His mind about you, about being rejected in any way or you losing your salvation. He will not break a promise. He will not stop loving you. He will not cast you away. What this means is that you can always count on Jesus being there in your life, even when it doesn’t seem like He is. You can always know that His love for you will not decrease and that His commitment to you stands, even under the test of time. Though the world changes, circumstances change, people change, and you change, Jesus never does. You can always count on Him. Prayer Heavenly Father, Your ways and thoughts are higher than mine, and You never change. Help me to trust and believe in You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
