Know God, Know Peace This world is full of troubles, sorrows, competition, confusion and chaos. People strive for riches, popularity and wealth. A man can earn all these, but without peace he will not be able to enjoy them. Nothing in this world can bring us true happiness. A wealthy man can buy everything except peace and eternal life. God is peace. The peace of God descends from heaven. God sent His only begotten son Jesus, the Prince of Peace, into this world to restore peace to us. When we totally submit and commit to the Prince of Peace to rule our lives, He will become the Prince of our lives. He will bless us with eternal peace, heavenly joy, happiness and peace on earth. Jesus said that in Him, you would have perfect peace (John 16:33). Those who put their trust in Jesus, the peaceful leader, and have their minds stayed on Him, will enjoy perfect peace. God’s children are peaceful at all times - in times of prosperity as well as in times of adversity. They know for certain that the Lord will deliver them from all problems and give them strength to be overcomers. It is this trust in the Lord that fills them with peace. King Nebuchadnezzar was once proud and arrogant. When God touched him, all his pride vanished, for he tasted the love and peace of God. He sent peace greetings to everybody (Daniel 4:1). Beloved, today, we who have tasted the peace of God should not keep it to ourselves but be instruments to spread the Gospel of peace of the Lord Jesus to all around us and proclaim Jesus is Lord. Prayer Heavenly Father, bless us with Your peace, which Jesus made available to us through the cross. Help us to share this gift of peace with others too. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
