Have you ever noticed that your group of friends has a similar sense of style? When they start using your vocab, or you can't tell whose playlist is whose, they've been spending too much time with you! No, really, when you spend enough time with someone else, sometimes you begin to act more like them and even look more like them. Being influenced by our friends and family is natural because they're who you spend the most time with.

Imitating positive behavior is okay. Even Jesus says that he did what he saw his Father do. Who you spend time with ultimately influences who you become. A quote says, "Show me your friends, I'll show you your future."That's what the writer of this proverb is trying to say. Surround yourself with people who make unhealthy decisions, and you'll follow along, but surround yourself with wise friends, and soon enough, you'll all be encouraging one another to make wise decisions.
