The Book of Romans: A 16 Day DevotionalSample

The final chapter of Romans is full of rich goodbye greetings to friends and believers in Rome. Paul is encouraging and affirming the leaders and friends he knows in the churches in Rome.
He is stressing unity and oneness. In verse 17 he urges us “to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.” The Gospel of Jesus about Jesus and His Kingdom is not self-serving, self-indulgent, or divisive.
Paul concludes with this beautiful prayer: “Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen" (Romans 16:25-27).
Our prayer is that this devotional of Romans has strengthened your knowledge of the Gospel, and of God’s wild plan to redeem you from sin and death. We pray that it stirs you to be a person of the Word and line your life up with its teaching as an anchor.
