The Book of Romans: A 16 Day DevotionalSample

Paul talks about the order of authority from God in Romans 13. Verses 1-7 have been called “A Christian’s directory for daily work”.
13:4 He teaches the Christian that to be obedient and to do what is right, means that we should have no fear when we are God’s servant.
13:8 “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.”
13:10 Paul states that above all other commandments, love for a neighbor, each other, is the fulfillment of the Law.
13:11 – 14 Paul offers comfort – put on the armor of light, the night is nearly over, salvation is near. Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, behave decently, obey the commandments and our reward will be salvation.
Reflection
Think about ways you can love your neighbor. Remember, a neighbor doesn’t have to be someone who lives next door. It can be someone you work with or interact with anywhere.
