Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

The psalmist recounts God’s power being made known to both those who love Him and also those who would dare to stand against Him. We may feel tension grappling with the psalmist's depiction of God as One who “cuts off the spirits of princes” and One whose anger when roused cannot be withstood (verse 7).
What characteristics of God in war and battle seem paradoxical to the image of God that you have? Regardless of whether this image of God is or is not aligned with the way you view God, spend some time reflecting on the psalmist's depiction of God showing His power and justice.
