Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

We see many examples of generational sin throughout Scripture, where children and grandchildren repeat the same sins of their predecessors. Psalm 78 goes into great detail about the ways the Israelites turned against God time and time again. And yet, we also see numerous examples of God’s faithfulness to Israel, and how many responded to Him in faith. Hebrews 11 commends the faith of generations of people. Psalmists often reflected on God’s faithfulness to their ancestors to assure the people of God’s faithfulness to their own lives. Reflecting on believers who came before us can help us rest assured in God’s sovereignty and power since the beginning of time.
Which of the biblical figures mentioned in Hebrews 11 are the most striking to you? How do you see God working through them to bring redemption to His world and His people?
