Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

Verses 3, 7, and 19 are appeals to God to restore what He had built up. With each subsequent appeal, the psalmist adds new words to further honor God. He starts with “Restore us, O God," and then continues with “Restore us, O God of hosts," and then ends with “Restore us, O LORD God of hosts.” What do you think is the psalmist trying to communicate by gradually adding more attributes of God in these verses? What does restoration look like for the Israelites? How have you witnessed God’s restoration in this way?
