In Paul's letter to Timothy, we learn that there are people in Timothy's community who simply don't want to change. They don't want to grow. They don't want to follow the ways of Jesus.
Paul urges Timothy to "continue in what you have learned". This is significant. Because Jesus Changes Everything, every person (who is willing) is growing! How do we grow? Paul exhorts Timothy to grow in Scripture because it is the very "breath" of God.
Have you ever thought about Scripture this way? Have you thought about how the Scriptures can help you grow in the power and presence of Christ? As you read today, imagine the very breath of God speaking over you. Before you even read, ask the Spirit to illuminate His Word and speak into you....and as the Lord speaks to you through His Word be ready to take whatever action he calls you to take! - Logan Beardsley
