Most people dream of making their last words count. Jesus’ last words on earth are called the Great Commission. He stresses, emphatically, that it is based on His authority over everyone and everything and everywhere. Why? Because Jesus changes everything!
What is His message? GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES! He doesn’t tell us to go and randomly shout out the gospel. He doesn’t want us to baptize everyone we see. He doesn’t tell us to teach cardboard cutouts. He tells us to do all three to all ethnic groups = all nations. I believe when we heed these marching orders, when we get out of the shadow of the church building and culture, He will go with us!
