Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsSample

A God Who Answers
Psalm 3 begins with a desperate David fleeing from his son, Absalom. He cries out to the Lord, “How many are my foes! How many rise up against me!” David’s situation was so bad that many believed he was beyond God’s help (v. 2). There is a wonderful movement or transition in verse 3, however, when David’s desperation and panic turns to hope.
David knows exactly what to do in this situation - he cries out to God, and God responds. Verse 4 says that God answers him from His holy hill. Nobody is beyond God’s help. There is no situation too dark or too painful where God’s light can’t enter and bring transformation. Cry out to God today and see how He answers you.
GO DEEP: What's on your heart today? However you're feeling or whatever you're facing, take time to share it with the Lord today.
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
