All the FeelsSample

The final emotion and feeling that we want to talk about this week is peace. What comes to your mind when you think about peace? Maybe you picture a calm lake, a snuggly blanket, or a quiet afternoon lying in a hammock. Whatever it is, the feeling of peace is fantastic to experience. The best thing about peace is that when we have the peace that Jesus gives us, we can feel at peace even in the middle of other emotions! We can have peace even when we’re sad, afraid, or jealous because the peace that Jesus gives us is better than anything the world can provide. When Jesus left earth to go back to Heaven, He told us that He was leaving us with a gift: peace. He said, “the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.” We always have the Holy Spirit inside us, giving us peace that we can’t find anywhere else. So, no matter what we are going through or what we are feeling, we can still experience peace from Jesus- and no one can take that away!
Challenge: Today, practice sitting in God’s peace. Take 5 minutes today to find a quiet place to sit and reflect. You can think about what you’ve learned throughout this week or take the time to pray and quietly listen to what God might be saying to you.

About this Plan

Emotions can be confusing. We all have them, yet what we’re experiencing almost always feels different from everyone around us! The most important thing we need to know about our emotions is that they are good. Join us for the next seven days as we take a look at some of the emotions we feel and what God has to say about them.
