All Change (Week 5)Sample

Day Seven - I Can Grow to be Like Jesus
READ:
‘Jonah and the Big Fish’ in a Children’s Bible or Jonah 1:1 - 3:10
If Jonah had done what God had asked him to do the first time, Jonah would not have had to go through hard things like being thrown overboard from a ship in a storm and then being swallowed by a Big Fish!
But God had a plan all along for Jonah and wanted him to learn that God’s way is best, just like He wants us to learn.
Jesus lived God’s way and shows us, through His example in the bible, how we can live God’s way.
When we remember what Jesus teaches us about living God’s way, we become more like Jesus.
ASK:
How can you remember the things that Jesus teaches us and grow to be more like Jesus?
REMEMBER:
Look at the new thing I am going to do.
It is already happening. Don’t you see it?
I will make a road in the desert.
I will make rivers in the dry land. (Isaiah 43:19)
SAY:
Thank you, Lord, that you have created us all unique and wonderful.
Help us to love you and everyone you have placed in our lives and
to become more like you every day - in Jesus name - Amen.
