All Change (Week 5)Sample

Day Six - I Can Grow to be Like Jesus
READ:
‘Jonah and the Big Fish’ in a Children’s Bible or Jonah 1:1 - 3:10
When the whale spit Jonah out onto dry land, God told Jonah for a second time, ‘Go tell the people of Nineveh to stop doing bad things’.
Jonah did as God asked, and the people of Nineveh stopped doing bad things!
When we stop doing the things we know are bad, we change and become more like Jesus.
ASK:
Did you know that Jesus never did anything bad, ever?
Jesus came to show us how to live a good life. When we remember how Jesus taught us all about God’s Kingdom and how we can live as God wants us to, we are growing to be more like Jesus. How exciting is that?
REMEMBER:
Look at the new thing I am going to do.
It is already happening. Don’t you see it?
I will make a road in the desert.
I will make rivers in the dry land. (Isaiah 43:19)
SAY:
Thank you, Lord, that you have created us all unique and wonderful.
Help us to love you and everyone you have placed in our lives and
to become more like you every day - in Jesus name - Amen.
