Day Four - I find God in my Bible

Yesterday we learned about how Samuel stayed at the tabernacle with Eli and grew in all he knew about God. Today we will be learning about how Eli taught Samuel to study God’s word and how we can find some wonderful things in the bible about how much God loves us. 

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3.

Eli was a priest and had spent many years studying God’s word. 

Eli taught  Samuel how to study God’s word, this is how Samuel grew in all he knew about God. 

Let's have a look in God’s word now, shall we? Open your Bible at Jeremiah 29:13.

It tells us in God’s word that when we look in God’s word, the bible, we will find God! 

The Bible is one place that we can learn about God, about His promises, and about how much He loves us. 

ASK:

Can you find some bible verses that tell you how much God loves you? 

Look with your grown up at the following verses:

John 3:16

Romans 5:8 

1 John 3:1

Can you find any other bible verses that tell us how much God loves you? 

Can you think of a way you can remember these verses? 

REMEMBER:

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

SAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,

That you gave to help us find our way. 

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere! 

We trust what your word says.
