Day Three - I find God in my Bible

Yesterday we learned about how Hannah took Samuel to Eli at the tabernacle and how this was a special place for people to worship God.  Today we will be learning about how Samuel stayed at the tabernacle with Eli and grew in all he knew about God.

Hannah brought Samuel to the tabernacle so that Eli could teach him about God. 

Samuel stayed at the tabernacle with Eli and grew in all that he knew about God, remember the book of Samuel is found in the old testament, which means this happened many, many years ago.  It was usual for little boys to stay at the tabernacle to be trained to look after the tabernacle, serve the Lord and train how to be priests

In your paper bible find and read (or ask your grown up to read) 1 Samuel 2:21. 

The Lord was kind to Hannah. She became the mother of three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up serving the Lord.

God was kind to Hannah and gave her more children because she did as she promised.  

Hannah made sure that Samuel would serve the Lord all his life.

ASK:

Samuel grew in all he knew about God through the teaching he received from Eli - how do you learn about God? 

Can you think of some other or new ways that you can learn about God?

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,

That you gave to help us find our way.
