Matthew: Part 2Sample

Have you ever been given an important responsibility by a parent, a teacher, or a coach? How did that make you feel?

In this passage, Jesus gives His disciples a huge responsibility. He tells them that it is now their job to tell others about Him and teach them how to grow in their relationship with God. 

But, you see, this wasn’t just a responsibility for Jesus’ closest followers - the guys who were with him back then. This is a responsibility that God gives to both you and me! 

We are to go and make disciples: go to your family, go into your school, go to your team, go to your neighbors.   

We are to go and tell others about Jesus and then show and teach them what it means to follow Him.

Who do you know that needs to hear about Jesus? I challenge you to bring Him up in conversation sometime this week. This can be scary, but a lot of people are actually really willing to talk about faith. It doesn’t have to be weird, scary, or awkward. Ask God to give you the courage, the words, and the right moment to share Him with your friends.
