River Valley Church SOAP - Part 9Sample

River Valley Church SOAP - Part 9

DAY 9 OF 30

Paul wrote this letter to the church at Corinth to continue addressing heightened immoral behaviors and persecution. He had just returned from a painful visit to the city, in which persuasion to reject Paul and his teachings were extremely intense. This letter is both an encouragement to faithful followers and a challenge to false messengers and those who were easily influenced by these messengers. He begins with a firm reminder that the Lord is the Father of Comfort, and that in Christ, we have already overcome. Although this letter was written among much rejection and persecution, Paul could honestly rejoice and boast about God’s work.
