Love God Greatly: Growing Through PrayerSample

SOAP – Philippians 4:6 Paul writes to the church of Philippi telling them that the cure for anxiety is prayer and supplication in every area. Supplication is a humble request from God. He desires that we take our every desire and request to Him. God wants to know every aspect of our heart, so that we can grow to trust Him with our thoughts and feelings. The more we speak to God and hear from Him through His Word, we gain confidence and trust in Him letting go of self-reliance, worry, fear, and anxiety. What prayer requests will you make of God today? Will you begin to pray and let go of the need to solve all of your problems, fix all of your issues, and control all of your circumstances? Father God, You are so much bigger and larger than anything that I could ever face. The heavens can’t even contain You. Lord, lift and remove those burdens that I have been struggling to carry, yet refusing to release. Calm this fearful heart today, Lord. Give me peace of mind and peace of heart as I face those things that overwhelm me. Remind me of Who You are and Who You have been for me in every circumstance. My Father. My Defender. My Protector. Trustworthy in every way. Though I may fail at this time and time again, Your love never fails me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
