Don’t Worry!

Isaiah 12:2

I trust him. I am not afraid.

Moses was 120 years old and God Himself had said that Moses would not lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Thus, God had appointed someone to replace him. He chose Joshua. Joshua was one of the 12 spies who had observed the Promised Land, and he was one of the only 2 spies who encouraged the people to conquer the Promised Land.

It was a very big task for Joshua to replace Moses, leading his big people into Canaan. At that time, Joshua was facing a very big change in his life. This was why Moses said to Joshua, “Be strong and brave. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forget you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t worry.

Are you having a big task to do at the moment? Is there a big change you are facing in your life right now? There is a quote saying: “Do not be afraid of changes because they are leading you into a new beginning.” Instead of worrying, you can try to accept the challenge and to look out for the new opportunity that can make you grow. If you feel afraid, remember that God knows it. Pray to Him and say this to yourself: “Be strong and brave. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forget you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t worry. He who spoke to Moses then is the same as He who speaks to you right now. He is the everlasting God, who is the same then, now, and forevermore.

Prayer

Dear God, I am not afraid of some changes that might happen in my life because I know You will guide me. I trust in You. Amen.
