#JESUS2020 - Daily Devotionals

DAY 26 OF 35

As I walk through life, I find myself living intense moments in God’s presence followed by moments when I feel like I have lost the connection. Often this loss of connection is easily broken by a simple moment of prayer. This is the beauty of the gift of God through Jesus Christ at the cross. Replacing the Passover lamb with His only Son, God gave Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins forever.

Jesus bled and suffered until all had been accomplished. When it was, the curtain of the temple separating the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies was completely torn in two from the top to the bottom. Jesus suffered, but now, in His own words “It is finished.” The process was horrific but the prize unprecedented! Unlimited access and potential had been unlocked for all humanity and this could never be undone. It was the ultimate deliverance! And still is today.

The curtain separating us from God’s perfect presence is torn, giving us unlimited access to God, the loving Father, and His immeasurable goodness. In Him, we always have hope, a solution, healing, blessing, wisdom, comfort, freedom from bondage, provision, the answer to our deepest needs. It is such good news, that it can only bring a smile to your face! When I think about this, I marvel at how good the Good News really is. Yet sometimes life tries to make me forget who I have access to through my faith in Jesus Christ and how He has changed my walk here on earth. The promises in the Bible are true, I have experienced them, I know it. Therefore, my new focus is to remember that the curtain was torn and to walk through life living in the Holy of Holies.

ACTION STEP:

Living more in the Holy of Holies each day

- Take a moment to remember that the curtain was torn and think about this unlimited access you have to the almighty God.

- Write down three special encounters with God, that you can take with you throughout the day.

About this Plan

#JESUS2020 - Daily Devotionals

The Lamb of God dies in Jerusalem, on a cross. Three days later He rose from the dead - sin and death are overcome. Two thousand years later, His blood sets me free. During the weeks before Easter, we want to acquire a deeper understanding of this fundamental event of our faith, get to know Jesus better and experience how His loving deed on the cross changes our lives forever.
