In His final earthly command to His disciples, Jesus gave what we call the Great Commission:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19–20
God’s plan is to change the world by sending His people out to make disciples of all nations. He calls faithful men and women to go, build the Church, and expand His Kingdom to the ends of the earth.
Jesus left these instructions with His disciples—average people who said yes to following Him. He sent the Holy Spirit to equip them with the power of God, just as He does today for ordinary disciples like you.
Your unique skills, gifts, and passions are designed to help reach the nations. But oftentimes, joining God's plan for the nations will stretch you beyond your capabilities. That's because you're meant to depend on His Spirit to enable you to do the task He's given you.
You might feel inadequate for the task of making disciples and reaching the nations. But God will provide you with what you need. He's called you and promises to help you carry out His work so He can do extraordinary things through you.
Whether you’re called to serve, give, go, witness, or pray, you can humbly step out in faith and trust God to equip you through the Holy Spirit to declare His praises, do good works, and change the world.
