For this reason, I LEAD  

Remember that moment in your life when you were ready to give up? Maybe you were fed up with your job situation, or your relationships. You didn’t know what your next step was or if there was any hope for your future. But then a leader in your life came to you, looked at you in the eyes, and spoke words of life and encouragement to you. They shared Gods promises with you and modeled what it is to live by faith and not by sight. 

Good leaders remind us of God’s sovereignty, grace, and love. They inspire us to trust God and live life to the fullest for Jesus! If you look closely you’ll be able to see how God has sent different leaders throughout your life to encourage and inspire you to trust in Him. 

For this reason, I lead! 

In the same way that He has used leaders to guide and shape you, God wants to use you to do the same! Your, “Yes,” to God in being a leader will make a difference. Don’t forget that the leaders that have gone before us have also had struggles and challenges, but they chose to lead and be examples of what it looks like to be men and woman who trust in God!

Let’s imitate their faith and lead others to do the same!

QUESTIONS: 

1. REFLECT: Who are some of the leaders in your life? In what ways are they guiding you closer to God?

2. APPLY: Wether you have a position, title, or official role, you are a leader to someone. What can you do today to help inspire them to continue following Jesus?

3. PRAY: Lord, help me to be the leader that you have called me to be. Help me to be a good example to those I lead, and use me to make a difference in people's lives for Your glory and honor. Amen.
