Life HacksSample

Equating God’s love as an overflowing water glass might work for some of us. But let’s be honest here. Most of the time, we probably don’t feel this overwhelming, overflowing joy every single moment of our lives. Sometimes we feel exhausted, drained, down, sad. We might have an empty cup. Maybe we haven’t experienced a full cup since that mountaintop moment – summer camp, baptism, or a really amazing conversation with a mentor. Maybe we’ve never felt what it’s like to overflow with God’s grace. That’s okay. God gives us what we need when we need it if we’re faithful to pursue Him.
Jesus doesn’t command to love God with our heart and our soul only, but also with our mind and our strength. Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes people suck. Sometimes circumstances are overwhelming. Sometimes we don’t feel God. Thankfully, our relationship with God isn’t contingent on how we feel, but on what we know – our journey of faith. Feeling God isn’t all there is. Sometimes, we just need to know Him, even when we don’t ‘feel’ Him.
